Advertising: Key conventions

 1) What key conventions of print adverts can you find and what are the connotations or deeper meanings of each convention? For each convention, write about how it communicates meaning to the audience. See the Maltesers advert above for an example of how to do this. the conntatoins say that red and white is iconic with the skittles company and the rainbow is know with the company of skitles.they are showing the sky beause they are telling us that then you eat skitles you in heaven and the sky is thy limt


2) What is the USP (unique selling point) for Skittles and how do you know? Does the advert use any of persuasive techniques listed above?
the USP is the rainbow colour sweet that has all the different colours of the rainbow with red green and blue being iconic with the brand.

If you have completed an in-depth analysis of the Skittles advert, write an analysis of a print advert that you have chosen using Google Images.
